Medical Marijuana

In September of 2010 Chet Brokaw wrote the article "SD group starts campaign against medical marijuana" about how some states, like South Dakota, are attempting to legalize marijuana for medical use such as patients with cancer, glaucoma, AIDS, multiple sclerosis and other diseases.  Marijuana is said to reduce nausea and relax muscles.  There is a prescription medication that contains the active ingrediant in marijuana that doctors can prescribed to their patients called dronabinol.  Some patients say that it is not as affective as marijuana is when it is eaten, smoked, or vaporized. The main character is the group apposing the bill because they believe that legalizing marijuana will lead to addiction and an increase in illegal drug use.

I believe that marijuana should not be legalized because of it's result in increase of drug addiction and illegal use.  The is already a pill available for patients to get from there doctor that studies have shown, give the same results as marijuana when it is smoked, eaten, or vaporized.  If the pill has been working well for years then really there is no need to legalize marijuana, it's unnecessary.
